KITCHEN rEFURB, pENARTH

The project:

Remove chimney breast wall and knock through into lean-to annexe which originally housed a utility area and downstairs toilet.

This terraced cottage in Penarth had lots of original features and bags of character. The project to knock through and create a space for socialising and entertaining has added a new dimension to the property and it looks amazing.  Knocking through and moving the toilet to the entrance of the kitchen opened this area up completely, making better use of the space, the client has a clear view of the garden through the sliding windows installed the rear of the building, these can be opened in the summer to bring the outdoors in, the sliding windows and the Velux roof lights give the room a bright and airy feel.

What the client said

Julie and Chris led a complete renovation of the kitchen in my Victorian terraced house which has completely transformed the downstairs of the back of the house into a characterful but modern and light-filled kitchen-dining room. Excellent communication throughout and given the amount of work needed to be done, they undertook the work to a quick timescale.

If you think your house could be transformed by simply knocking down a wall, please contact us. We can help you design your space and your interior.
